1. Child Protection Achievements
With support from UNICEF South Sudan Program, CHIDDO managed to implement its Child Protection activities in Mayom County last May 2016. The main activities in June 2016 included the following:
- 2 Child Friendly Spaces(CFS) had been established ( June2016 ) Mayom, Ruadh, Bieh & Mankien
- 7 Unaccompanied and Children all were boys being traced (total caseload)
- 2 boys were reunified with their families, while 5 will be reunified soon with their families
- 225 children (120 girls and 105 boys) reached with PSS activities in Mayom town
- 438 children (133 girls & 305 boys) received Psychosocial Support activities in Mankien
2. Education Achievements
Education Project activities kicked off at the end of (June 2016) in Mayom County, which included:
- 24 County Education officers and Payam Education Supervisors trained (PES) in the County
- 64 primary school teachers (12 females & 20 males) trained on life-skills in the County
- 26 PTAs Members (18 females & 8 males) trained on roles and responsibilities in the County
- 2 Back To Learning (BTL) Launch conducted targeting 2,150 children (1075 B & 1075 G) in two Payams of Mankine and Kuerbuone in Mayom County
- EiE materials distributed to 2,350 children (1,200 boys and 1,100 girls) in targeted schools in Mayom County
- Rehabilitate 8 TLS classrooms for 880 children (400 girls and 480 boys) in Mayom County
- 2 TLS classrooms constructed for 220 children (120 boys and 100 girls) in Kuerboune Paym (St. Bakhita Primary School)
